TitleConverting successful software tools to software products
SectorIT
Investment TypeEquity or Convertible Loan
Investment Amount$750,000
DescriptionFirepipes is a very well proven Software as a Service security tool that adds a very tough layer to computer networks. In use at Directv (the US equivalent to Sky TV in the UK), several very large potential customers want the software to be re-written as a Product, not a managed service. This will involve three software coders and the original designer for a year, at a cost of about $500k. Firepipes has enormous potential, as it would have killed dead many of the major security leaks that we are hearing about (Target, Sony, Home Depot), and has a global market. Balance of funds for marketing program upon completion.

DescriptionHello to all members of the Millfield Business Network,
I have been working for the last 5 years for a high-tech company specialising in the development and design of innovative photovoltaic semi-transparent windows (10%-80% transparency possible depending on customer requirements).
This state-of-the-art product generates solar power whilst filtering glare and limiting white light - ideal for large office blocks and buildings with bay windows.
2015 was to be an important year in terms of company milestones because after having qualified the product the next step for the company was to be the construction of a production unit and industrialisation of the product.
Unfortunately the project has come to a standstill due to the fact that our main shareholder, EDF, has backed out and hence industrialisation cannot go ahead.
In order to market this unique product we are seeking investors. If anyone is interested or if you know of any potential investors, please get back to me as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance.

The Wild Beer Co
TitleCrowdfunding to build a new Brewery
SectorBrewing
Investment TypeCrowdfunding via Crowdcube from March 1st
Investment Amountfrom £10
DescriptionInvest Wildly Different and help us build our new brewery.

This is the dream of Brett Ellis and Andrew Cooper, who, in 2012, created a brewery that thought Wildly Different, and that encouraged you to Drink Wildly Different. We have a passion for wild fermentation and barrel-ageing to make beers of rare complexity and flavour. We have created a market within the UK craft beer scene, and have become world renowned for what we do and now export to 22 countries.

This isn’t just about beer. It’s about something more. It’s about challenging perceptions. Creating a movement, battling against a tradition that says only pints are beautiful and quantity is more important than quality. The funds contributed by our Wildly Different investors will not only shape the future of Wild Beer; but allow us to continue pushing the boundaries of the whole beer industry. We aren’t just selling beers; we’re creating a movement.

The Plan
1 - Build a new brewery
2 - Develop our current brewery to lead the barrel-ageing and wild beer category in the UK
3 - Grow our bar and restaurant business

This will keep us at the forefront of the UK beer scene and enable us to continue growing our business for many years.
