Max Phillips (2006*-2015; Mill)
Type of PositionWork Experience
Job TitleSummer intern
DetailsSince finishing Millfield last summer I have been spending the winter playing club cricket in Melbourne, Australia. I am planning to return to the UK in April and am looking to find some work experience before going to university in September.
At A Level I achieved 3 Grade Bs in Economics, History and Geography and will be studying Geology at Cardiff University. While I would very much appreciate work experience which would help my future studies, I really want to gain work experience in any challenging and interesting work environment.
During my time at Millfield I contributed significantly to the school, I played 1st XI Cricket and Hockey, and was a prefect and a member of the academic society. I can truly say I benefited from the all-round education of the school. This has given me a drive and determination to succeed especially when working with others in a team environment. My time in Australia is teaching me to get on with things and to support myself to become more independent. I have also been coaching junior cricketers which has provided me with experience in planning and organizing sessions and inspiring people through focus and practice while still providing enjoyment.
I believe I could use my personal attributes to contribute to a business while at the same time continue my learning. If any Old Millfieldians have opportunities to help me build my experience I would very much appreciate making contact with you.

SectorTv/ Film production
Job TitleRunner
DetailsIn June, I left Millfield School with grades ABB (photography, media and english lit) in my A levels. I am now looking to start a career in film and television and I am reaching out to the OM network to ask if they could help me with this.

I am currently seeking a job as a runner for a tv/ film production company. I am happy to work in any area of the field running, and due to my current lack of running experience I will happily do this work for free.

I am currently based in Cheshire/ Manchester but I could easily relocate to London for work. I have my own car and will drive all over the country if required.

I am hoping someone from The OM network will know of somebody (a director/ producer/ owner of a production company), or is one themselves, that could offer me a job in this industry. I am available from now and can start immediately.

Many thanks to anyone who can help out.
